Wrap up of 1st grade and Adventures

Here is the last post for 1st grade and Adventures! This is a wrap-up of all that we did over the summer (that really was not much after we finished 180 days).

Math U See Beta: Finished through lesson 13. We will start out 2nd grade with lesson 14.

All About Spelling Level 2: Finished lesson 18. We will start 2nd grade with lesson 19.

First Language Lessons: Finished through lesson 123 (second grade). FLL worked for us in first grade but we will be trying something new for 2nd grade.

Reading: I honestly can't remember all the books that Senior read over the summer- it was a lot. He had set a goal of reading the entire Narnia series but I made a mistake and allowed him to watch "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" and after that he did not feel the need to read the book, ugh! He did finish "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" and "Prince Caspian" before he quit. He also started "The Last of the Jedi" series by Jude Watson.

Without a doubt, these have been the two books he as spent the most time with.
Adventures (Bible, History, & Science): At the very beginning of the summer, we finished up some neglected science experiments.




This is Senior's completed Jesus poster. It will be a forever memory of this year.

This is what the time line looks like at the end of the year.

Senior finished his U.S. map which means that he visited all 50 states!

These our the 1st grade notebooks ready to be packed away to make room for ECC and 2nd grade.
