Tot School~ Apples -Part 1

Gator-Tot is 25 months old
Freshman is 8 months old
Tot School
Week #5
Theme- Apples- Part 1
Letter focus: Review of A-D

In honor of our September theme, an apple tree grew in the Tot-School area of our classroom! G loves it, especially all the woodland creatures!

Tot Trays

This weeks trays: "Apple" sensory bucket, "Apple" playdough, apple cutting, clothespin drop, shape sorter, wooden blocks.

You can read about our September sensory bucket and playdough here.

He is really enjoying it!

G-Tot's favorite tray this week was the apple cutting. These are wooden fruit with Velcro that go to our toy kitchen. This is such a great fine motor activity!

Another hit was the clothespin drop. I love when the simplest and cheapest ideas are a favorite ;-)

Themed Activities

We used many of the printables from Confessions of a Homeschooler- A is for Apple.

G-Tot loved the color and shape puzzles!

We made finger print apples.

Here are all three of my little apple trees. Do you see how small Freshman's are? So sweet!

We apple printed and put together an apple print wreath. I got the idea here from No Time for Flashcards.

G even got to play with the balance scale during brother's Apple Math.

Non-Themed

The boys stamped with A, B, C, and D stamps. Very fun!

Here he is during our "Circle Time".

Tiny Tot School
Freshman is sitting up great! He is also working on at least two teeth which has made him a great (read sarcasm) student this week! Poor baby!

He does love the new sensory bin. ** Please know that I never took my eyes off of him and only allowed him to play because it was oatmeal (he did not play with the rice last month). Yes, it was a HUGE mess but worth that smile.

He also got to swing on the playground during big brother's recorder lesson :D

Books from this week:

You can read more about our Apple Unit here. More apples next week!!
